APAWS and The Manship Theatre Presents Beetlejuice
Come join us on June 15, 2013 to enjoy Michael Keaton, Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin in the classic comedy Beetlejuice. We will be having a pre-show event starting at 6:00 pm and everyone is welcome to come out dressed as their favorite Beetlejuice character. Just remember you still need to be able to see the movie, so don't wear anything that will prevent you or others from viewing the movie. It is the 25th Anniversary of Beetlejuice and we want to celebrate. So, come out to support animals and celebrate the anniversary of one of everyone's favorite bio-exorcist.

Pearl had surgery on May 29, 2013 to correct a hereditary condition, ectopic ureter. This condition caused her to not be able to urinate properly and to leak when any pressure was placed on her bladder (for example when she walked). She came through the surgery with flying colors, but we are in need of donations to pay for the surgery. This was a very complex surgery requiring two of the best surgeons in Baton Rouge. Because she was in pain we had to get the surgery done immediately and could not wait for fundraising.

Wilson had a tumor removed from his head in May. Luckily the tumor was not in his brain, but one ear had to be removed. Testing showed the tumor was cancerous, but the report says we added years to his life by having it removed! He is now in his foster home doing very well and much happier now that the tumor is gone.
