Ben, Jerry, Bob and Natalie

These four pups were rescued from Houma animal control right before they were scheduled to be euthanized. They were not adopted or taken by PupsPupsanother rescue because of missing fur. Their missing fur was a simple fungal infection that was easily treated. Their fur started growing back immediately and they were well on their way to recovery.

Unfortunately, they broke with parvo- a disease known and feared by many dog owners and all dog rescuers. The pups received veterinary treatment including hospitalization when necessary. The little girl, Natalie, was not able to win her fight against parvo and passed away. Her brothers, Ben, Jerry and Bob are all doing well. Ben never showed any signs of illness and was able to stay with his foster mom. Jerry and Bob are doing very well and are expected to come home this week.
